A new early warning Criterion for assessing landslide risk

A large number of engineering case studies have shown that the traditional early warning criteria, which evolved on basis displacement as a single piece information, many limitations in practical engineering. The speed ratio (DSR) cannot determine development trend landslides due to influence periodic external environmental factors. Moreover, when occur, system will false alarm stepwise giant rise landslides. To solve this problem, paper proposes new landslide criterion, (TSR), and also fuses TSR DSR into dual method (DSRM) for judging risk changes. We assess these methods by applying DSRM 10 cases, respectively. results show is greater than 2.0, probability damage high tends decrease, be stable. For sharply steps but are not damaged, has rate, while can effectively reduce rate. In terms applicability, applied only half ten cases studied, significantly more applicable. addition, compared with method, direction step-up landslides, providing technical support engineers engaged control.
